[edit] Origins of the Name Jaunpur

City of Jaunpur was founded by the Firuz Shah Tughluq of Tughlaq dynasty , In the begning it was called Firozabaad like many other cities founded by him but later it was changed to JaunPur; Jaun was the birth Name of Muhhamad Bin Tughluq.
