I'm fanatical about the greatest show on Earth.

I own all ten seasons on DVD, plus Hit and Run, and both Christmas DVDs. I'll buy the movie when it comes out on DVD (or pre-order).

[edit] Computer programming and Web 2.0

I have long been interested in all aspects of programming. See below for further information.

Now, I spend a lot of my spare time programming Web 2.0 applications.

[edit] Visual Basic

Before I started programming web applications in early 2006, I used Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 Professional Edition. In my opinion, in the days of desktop programming before we had Web 2.0 it was one of the best programming tools on the market. Obviously not as powerful as the likes of Visual C++, etc., but really great. I have a lot of respect for Microsoft, and Bill Gates, and I am truly inspired by what they have achieved. I believe that a lot of people underestimate them. They gave us in-browser WYSIWYG editing. They gave us Ajax. They really are true innovators.

But now we're seeing new applications, and new companies and start-ups. I think 37signals are great.

I'm crazy about Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird. I have used Microsoft software all my life, and they're great. They pay so much attention to detail in all of their apps. Microsoft Office is great. Microsoft Windows is great. But now we're moving into an age of web applications, and I'm positive they'll adapt.

I like Gmail.

After having recently seen Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore's film about global warming, An Inconvenient Truth, I have become increasingly aware and concerned by this topic and its estimated effects. [edit] Interest in Space

I have a big interest in Space, and human spaceflight and exploration in particular. I'm a member of WikiProject Space Exploration and WikiProject Human Spaceflight. I've done a lot of work on Apollo program, some minor edits to Shuttle missions, and some minor edits to astronaut bios. I'm particularly interested in the Apollo moon landings, especially Apollo 11. I'm also interested in the International Space Station and planned future manned landings.

I worked a tiny bit to wikify/cite Space Generation Advisory Council.
