Jaturamitr

- The Jaturamitr Samakkee Traditional Soccer League (Thai: จตุรมิตรสามัคคี) is a secondary school football (soccer) league in Thailand. It is played by four well-known boys' schools in Bangkok, namely: Suankularb Wittayalai School, Debsirin School, Assumption College and Bangkok Christian College . The first kick-off began in 1964. The competition continues biennially usually in November, at the Suphachalasai Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand with each school host in rotation. The event also focuses on card stunts, cheerleading, the opening ceremony parades and, of course, unity.
- It is also a popular event of football in Thailand. Many outstanding players from this league continue their sports career by participating in the Thailand Premier League. Not only the event is regularly broadcast on national television, but also, with a growth of Internet technology in the past decade, latest three Jaturamitr competition broadcast live streaming video and publish live score on its official website.
- Often, the word “Jaturamitr” is used, as a catch phrase, to refer to students or alumni of the four particular schools.
- The forthcoming 24th Jaturamitr Samakkee Traditional Soccer League will be held on 17 - 24 November 2007, hosted by Bangkok Christian College.
