Jason was born on July 3, 1983, in Butterworth, a major town of the northern state of Penang. He is of Straits Chinese heritage with a paternal link to the Siamese Kingdom.

[edit] Education & Career

Both his parents are educated in mission schools, during the British Malaya administration. But realising the rise of China as a world superpower, his parents were adamant about sending Jason to a Chinese vernacular school. Despite initial language barrier, he completed his primary and secondary schooling in the Jit Sin schools, notably Jit Sin High School, one of Malaysia's premier school.

He also concurrently studies part-time as a post-graduate student in the world's top 25 Engineering school - Nanyang Technological University, doing Biomedical Engineering.

[edit] Malaysia

Jason is an alumnus of University of Putra, Malaysia. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences with an Honours in Biomedical Sciences. He accepted an offer to be an Executive in Allianz a few weeks before his graduation and enjoyed working in Kuala Lumpur for one of the fastest-growing financial group.

[edit] Singapore

After a short 6 months career life, he was headhunted by a Singaporean biomedical company. Wanting to hasten his pace, he resigned and took up the offer to be part of their business development team in Singapore. However it was not long after that that he was headhunted again by various companies.

This time, disappointed by that local company's mismanagement and lack of direction, upon headhunted, he took the opportunity to join the world's biggest scientific company - Thermo Fisher Scientific. It was his second stint in Singapore after just less than 2 years of residence.

Jason has yet to apply to be a Singaporean permanent resident, but he does plan to accept the residency within this year. This come at the back that he is settling down well, even with ownership of a Singaporean car.
