"FF" (as in Welsh) is english "F", final "E" should be silent, so: Ford, just like the cars. -Michael

As I understand it, two small f's is an archaic alternative to writing a capital F, so years back the name would have been spelt "Forde" or "fforde". However, the double f stuck and became part of the spelling of the name. Bondegezou 16:39, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
