[edit] Failed "good article" nomination

This article failed good article nomination. This is how the article, as of May 22, 2007, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: English is flawless, but the amount of actual article kind of text is very short.
2. Factually accurate?: Accuracy of the events seems correct.
3. Broad in coverage?: Very limited; biography basically just a snapshot of his last years; Dunham's personality is completely uncovered; much of the article is just reference lists; background of the events unexplained.
4. Neutral point of view?: Long citation from President Bush seems propagandist and adds no value to the article. No analysis of Bush Administration motives to start granting the Medal of Honors again after such a long break.
5. Article stability? Little changes in the last few months.
6. Images?: Images are official and formal, making his sacrifice feel remote and the brutality of his death distant.

When these issues are addressed, the article can be resubmitted for consideration. If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to take it to a GA review. Thank you for your work so far. — Drieakko 15:10, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

I would also add that the article feels like "Jason Dunham's Medal of Honor", not "Jason Dunham". The person himself seems to completely disappear behind the honor he was granted. --Drieakko 15:16, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
