Jassem Al-Kharafi

Jassem Al-Kharafi, (Arabic:جاسم محمد عبدالمحسن الخرافي ), born in 1940, is the current speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly. He is a member of the influential and wealthy Al Kharafi family. His brother Nasser is member of Forbes list of richest men in the World. He is regarded as moderate pro-government[1]. Nevertheless, recently he criticised the ruling Al-Sabah family for his dissenssion. In July 2006, he denounced vigorously the Israeli attacks on Lebanon saying that it'll "turn us all into terrorists" [2].
