Jason Wilson is a Democratic member of the Ohio Senate, representing the 30th District since his appointment in January 2007. Wilson is the son of the previous Ohio Senator and is perhaps best known for mishandling his father's petitions for US Congress in 2006. These petitions were invalidated for not having the 50 signatures needed to have his father listed in the democratic primary ballot. Jason Wilson was fired as campaign manager, but the senior Wilson won the primary handily as a write-in candidate and went on to win in the general election.[1]

Wilson holds a B.A. in Political Science from Ohio State University, and an MBA from Wheeling Jesuit University.

Senator Wilson is currently seeking reelection in his district, facing the Republican challenger Tim Ginter.

[edit] Committees

Senator Wilson sits on the committees of Energy and Public Utilities; Finance and Financial Institutions; Highways and Transportation; and is the ranking minority member of the committee of Agriculture.[2]
