Jason "JR" Reed (also known by the name of his signature character, Lee), is an American actor and musician, originally from Corvallis, Oregon. He is best known for his association with the comedy rock band Tenacious D.[1]

[edit] Tenacious D

Reed is best known for his character Lee from Tenacious D's HBO series in the episode The Fan and feature film Tenacious D in: The Pick of Destiny. Aside from his onscreen role as the band's biggest fan, he is also the band's lead roadie. The song Lee from Tenacious D's first album is about Reed's character.

Jason Reed also appears on stage during the Tenacious D tours. He plays the characters "Lee", "The Devil", "The Metal", "A Mushroom", "Spider-Man" and a Police car.

Reed appeared onstage with the band on the December 2, 2006 episode of Saturday Night Live as "The Metal" during their song The Metal from The Pick of Destiny.

Reed also performs in the band Trainwreck along with Tenacious D guitarist Kyle Gass.

[edit] Other works

Reed's film and television credits include a 1999 appearance on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (episode Choices) as a Vamp Guard and a 1996 independent film, The Shot[2]
