Detriment vocalist Jason Keyser joined Death Metal band Skinless as their new frontman in November 2004 Jayson has released one album with Skinless (Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead, 2006) and another album with Detriment (Plague Rituals, 2004). He is also currently a member of brutal death metal band Mucopus, providing the vocals on their 2007 release "Undimensional". In 2006 Jason Keyser received recognition from Boy Scouts of America as an Eagle Scout. Jason is currently on tour with Mucopus, playing several U.S. dates before taking their act overseas.

- Playing off the album cover for Skinless' most recent release "Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead", Jason has begun wearing a gas mask upon the introduction of his band at live shows.
- Has pet cat named "Petey"
- Every Sunday after mass, Jason donates his time at the local Salvation Army serving breakfast to homeless and needy.
- Jason has been a devoted Tampa Bay Rays (formerly known as the Devil Rays) since the teams inception in 1998.
- Jason's brother Joe, once talked him out of buying a $40,000 Fabergé egg.
- Jason was once engaged to the niece of former baseball player/coach Don Zimmer.
- In 1999 the movie bug bit Jason when he took the part of "Metal Guy" in Robert Iscove's She's All That. Though he has no speaking parts he can been seen in several scenes dancing and pretending to take part in the fake high school.
- Jason speaks English; his native tongue.
- Jason donated 1/4 of the proceeds of the 2006 Skinless release "Trample the weak, Hurdle the dead" to Moveon.org
- The debut season of the now defunct Nickelodeon gameshow "Global Guts" features a young Jason Keyser's second place finish to Sweeden's Linus Brighoffen. (Episode Six)
- Jason has stated to various small time European media affiliates his general distaste for the belief in extra-terrestrial life.
- Jason recently agreed to cohost a cable access show for his hometown of Cohoes, New York. Though details remain vague, Jason will don corpse paint and discuss various topics relating to what the station referred to as "The Single, Metal Guy"
