Jason Hager.

Born: March 12th 1972

Birth Place: Spurlocksville, WV

Current Location: Cleveland, OH

Co-founder of Cleveland, Ohio metal band Chimaira. Hager started Chimaira with vocalist Mark Hunter and was the rhythm guitarist from 1998 to 2001. Hager quit after one tour upon finishing the recording of "Pass Out Of Existence" for Roadrunner Records. After finding out his first child was on the way Hager decided to take some time off of music to focus 100% on family.

A few years later Hager started the rock band SHENOAH (named after his stepdaughter's middle name) but soon realized metal was where his heart was. Shenoah disbanded and Hager immediately started and is currently the guitarist for Cleveland's metal heavy weights YEARS OF FIRE. Formed in the spring of 2005 Years Of Fire has released a self produced EP which they gave away for free on the internet and will be releasing their debut full length "Visceral Departure" in the spring of 2008 on Blind Prophecy Records.

Besides music Hager is an artist and a loyal, devout single, full time father.

His influnces stem from more early thrash metal bands like Suicidal Tendencies, Metallica, Anthrax, Prong, Slayer.... early Hardcore bands like Sick Of It All, Judge, Inside Out... To even some more mainstream 80'S HARD ROCK like Twisted Sister, Kiss, Ozzy Osbourne and Skid Row.

Hager plays ESP/LTD guitars, Madison Amplifiers, Boss floor pedals.
