Jason Glennon Crowell

Jason Glennon Crowell (born February 3, 1972), is a Republican politician from Missouri. He was born in and currently resides in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He received his undergraduate degree in economics from Southeast Missouri State University, and his J.D. from University of Missouri-Columbia.

He is a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Cape Girardeau Noon Lions Club, Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Missouri State University Copper Dome Society and Booster Club, Cape Girardeau Elks Lodge 639, Theta Xi, and the Missouri County and Cape Girardeau County Farm Bureaus. He is also an Eagle Scout.

Crowell came under fire for hiring his best friend and fellow politicial, Rod Jetton, as his campaign consultant.[citation needed]

He was first elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 2000, and was elected to the post of Majority Floor Leader in 2002. In 2004, he was first elected to the Missouri State Senate. He serves on the following committees:

  • Pensions, Veterans' Affairs and General Laws (chair)
  • Financial and Governmental Organizations and Elections (vice chair)
  • Economic Development, Tourism, and Local Government
  • Gubernatorial Appointments
  • Judiciary and Civil and Criminal Jurisprudence.
