Established in the year 1919, the Jashanmal Group is an organization head quartered in Dubai, UAE. Its primary activities include operating retail franchises in the region as well as the distribution of consumer goods and services in the Gulf countries (UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman), and India. Retail franchises represented in the region include Burberry, Clarks, Calvin Klein, Swatch, Bally, and Jashanmal Department Stores. The distribution division successfully markets leading global consumer brands in the Middle East and India. These brands include Cross, Yashica, Delsey, Maytag, Hoover, Kenwood, Russell Hobbs, Parfums Christian Dior, Elizabeth Arden, Prevage, Lancaster, Sisley, Nina Ricci, Rochas, Rimmel Cosmetics, Calvin Klein, Cerruti, Davidoff, Gucci, Mont Blanc, Dunhill, Armand Basi, J. Del Pozo, Roberto Verino, Tous, Elite, Britney Spears, Gant, Hillary Duff, Mariah Carey, Badgley Mischka, Canali, Nicole Farhi, Jasper Conran, Designers Guild, Courvoisier, Annayake, Jean Charles Brosseau, Acaua di Portofino, Tabac Original, Police, and Milton Lloyd. Other divisions of the Jashanmal Group includes the Newspaper and Periodicals division which oversees the marketing and distribution of leading books, magazines, and newspapers in the Gulf through direct distribution and through retail chains including the Jashanmal Bookstores. Business partners include LEVANT, Higgs and Reed Aviation. Over 1,000 newspaper & magazine titles are represented, including The Times, Newsweek, Time, The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, The Times of India, Vogue, Elle and Cosmopolitan. Other major suppliers include Conde Nast, Hachette Fillipachi, Haymarket, Marketforce, Harper Collins, Random House, Oxford University Press, Warner Books, Harper Collins, Guinness Publishing, BBC Books, Ladybird, Penguin, and Lonely Planet. The Jashanmal Group is also in a joint venture with Japan's Overseas Courier Services (OCS). Jashanmal/OCS venture has offices in Dubai, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Yemen, and India. The Jashanmal Group employes over 1000 people in its various divisions and countries and has become one of the leading and most highly respected professional organizations in the Middle East region and India.
