[edit] Red Alert 3
I got your message... About 'definately in production'... Well, yes & no. I think you're refering to the December 2004 announcement by EA's Mark Skaggs when you said it was a single raving guy. I was refering to an announcement made within the last month.
Apparently, however, I misread something... It seems that with the release of the 10th Aniverserary edition, 1up decided to include the 2004 announcement.
I would bank on a Red Alert 3... Of course, Tiberian Twilight doesn't exist, either, but because it has some concept art, it's listed in the Tiberium Series...
[edit] C&C Series
I have to disagree with your call on the C&C (Red Alert & Generals) pages. Generally on Wikipedia separate games (even if they are interlinked as in this case) are given their own separate pages- for example even though Diablo II is a direct continuation of Diablo, they have their own pages.
[edit] Tacitus
Hey.. uuh. new to this.. Tacitus_(C&C) (as seen in CABAL ) needs a page, and really, in the other pages where the Tacitus is mentioned it should link to that page.
So does Petroglyph (software developer) (as seen in Command & Conquer )
Yes, sooner or later I'll get to making one but first I'm finishing what Cynical starting doing to the C&C section, making separate pages for the C&C games Jareand 15:09, August 10, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Reproducing banknotes
From http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/banknotes/reproducing_banknotes.htm
Under section 18(1) of the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981 it is a criminal offence for any person, without the prior consent in writing of the Bank of England, to reproduce on any substance whatsoever, and whether or not on the correct scale, any Bank of England banknote or any part of a Bank of England banknote. The Bank of England also owns the copyright in its banknotes.
At best you might be able to get away with fair use by copying the bank's own pictures marked with "specimen". I will speedy delete the offending image for being illegal.Dunc|☺ 20:32, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
- Whoops, didn't know that! Thanks. Jareand 23:07, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Attention
The image Logosheetcopy.jpg has been listed as not having an source information to verify the claim of fairuse. Unless such information can be obtained within seven days the image will be deleted. TomStar81 22:10, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
- PS: Thanks for the help on the Red Alert 3 VFD. I hate to think that an article for a game that we can actually prove existed would be deleted simply because very little is known about it. TomStar81 06:38, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
- Yeah, when I was a newbie here at Wikipedia, I didn't tag images I first uploaded. And thank you for your help in the VFD. Jareand 17:37, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] James Ruse Agricultural High School
Hi. May I ask why you moved the JRAHS article to the specific anon category? Thanks. JSIN 23:39, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Hey - running for admin.
Hey - Mr Bowtie and I are running for admin and we wondered if you could vote for us? We're trying to keep the C&C community alive and are gonna try to implement some drastic improvements as administrators. Please support us at Mr Bowtie's and my vote pages - thanks, The Fish 20:47, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
Thanks for combatting that crazy "Run!" guy's anti-decent-C&C-article spree... what is he up to?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by The Fish (talk • contribs)
- I have a new C&C info box that would allow for most of the pages to be redirected to one common page (like putting all GDI characters one a GDI character page, infantry units on any infantry page, and so forth). The prototype is located here, and I was wondering if you would support merging and redirecting the C&C articles onto these pages. TomStar81 04:36, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Tell you what: I have been working on draft pages for the sections mentioned offline, and I am almost done with them. Let me finish with my idea and get the nessicary associated pages "live". This will shut dow any attempt Run! can make at having pages he consideres "fancruft" deleted, while incorporating all of the current C&C pages into general category pages that will be safe from redirects and merges for the imediate future. This will buy us some time to negotiate with the wiki community over the exact fate of the articles and their content. In the interm, after the pages are brought up, you can rearrange the order and setting if you do not like the layout. How does that sound? TomStar81 02:07, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Tut.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Tut.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Dethomas 23:50, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging for Image:Skyline-montreal.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Skyline-montreal.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see User talk:Carnildo/images. 20:32, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] C&C Overhaul Developments
A message on the talk page for Tiberian Dawn reminded me that we should be using the actual published name of the game for the article; since the official name of Tiberian Dawn is/was Command & Conquer I have placed a requested move tag on the page Command & Conquer so that we can have that page moved to Command & Conquer series. This would allow us to place the RTS game Command & Conquer on the page Command & Conquer. The process by which I am doing this requires that people vote to support or deny the move, so I was wondering if I could pester you to vote support and pass the message along. I would apreciate it.
On a related note, I am working on the Generals series as the next C&C cleanup, using the same format as I did with the Tiberian Series. At the moment I have several screen shots taken, and the text for the pages pages are nearing completion. With luck I should have thes phase of the project done this week or early next week. Unfortunatly, as with the Tiberian Series I expect the new pages to have massive spelling errors, but with luck not as many as the Tiberian articles did. Thought you might like to know.
PS: Thanks for the Barnstar! I guess the new layout was a huge hit with the C&C community. Glad I was able to help ;) TomStar81 07:42, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
- The C&C Generals pages are now live. Feel free to help clean them up. I have a butload of pictures that will be placed in the articles shortly. TomStar81 09:52, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind words. I am still not all the way done with the Generals series yet, but with collage finals almost upon me I figured that I would go ahead and upload the completed sections and finish up the last page or two in May. On that note I probably will not start work on the Red Alert overhaul until after collage finals are done, so that update may be slow in coming, but as they say, "...anything worth having is worth waiting for." [edit] Bloc Userbox
Hey, good idea, and one I would agree with, but we're not permitted to use fair use logos in userboxes. Habsfan|t 21:47, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Bad News
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but after maticulously going through the C&C: Tiberian series article pictures I have discovered that several of the picture(s) listed as being uploaded by you do not have sources. To be fair, I am going to give a two week amnesty period to allow you to source the images uploaded without a source. According to my survey, the following images you uploaded do not have a source:
- Image:Kane.jpg
- Image:Tiber.jpg
- Image:Rapic.jpg
- Image:Cctd.gif
If no source can be provided after two weeks I will have to tag the images with a no source template, at which point they will in all likelyhood be deleted.
On an unrelated note, I will probably start work on the RA series template and pages sometime next week. Thought you might like know ;) TomStar81 07:45, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion Emergancy!
The page strucutures of the GLA is being considered for deletion. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Structures of the GLA leads to the vote page. Help save this page! TomStar81 05:09, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Question about an edit
In the C&C: 3 article, you removed the following
"In the last moments in the final NOD cutscene in C&C: Tiberian Sun Firestorm expansion, you can see CABAL creating clones of Kane in a hidden lab."
I understand that this could have been put in the wrong place on the page, but it is very relevant to the history of C&C, in creating a vague connection between CABAL and Kane.

[edit] Re:RA
Thaks for the heads up. I think I will let him run with it, then see about cleaning the articles up to conform with the C&C and Generals templates. I was about 20% or so into the RA series, so I will add my info to his layout for the time being. TomStar81 19:13, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WP:NOT
I have opened a discussion at WP:NOT based on the debate we had over the game manual clause and its aplication to the page Structures of the GLA. This link leads to the debate. TomStar81 01:49, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Rapic.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Rapic.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 03:56, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Rapic.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Rapic.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:58, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
