[edit] centerpiece?

Saltalamacchia was the centerpiece of the deal.

I'm pretty sure Teixeira was the centerpiece of this one. Otherwise, Atlanta wouldn't have willingly traded Saltalamacchia. Pandacomics 18:35, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

  • It's a two way street. Saltalamacchia was the centerpiece for Texas, Teixeira was the centerpiece for Atlanta.
Doesn't mean he was THE centerpiece of the deal. That's what the italicized sentence suggests (note the use of "the" and not "a") Pandacomics 05:40, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
I don't like this wording either. Teixeira is the centerpiece of the whole deal. There is no need to go into more detail than that.►Chris Nelson 05:41, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Hit the nail right there. Pandacomics 06:08, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Marriage

YES, Saltalamacchia is married to a former high school teacher. YES, it is true. A more credible link to the Atlanta Journal is linked within this: http://raindelay.typepad.com/my_weblog/salty/index.html. However, it has not been archived on the AJC website and no longer exists, but is quoted in this blog. 24.197.120.136 05:38, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
