Jarkko & Laura

Jarkko ja Laura (English: Jarkko and Laura) is a Finnish pop-duo of Jarkko Antikainen and Laura Ruotsalo. They first had their break in the Finnish music scene in 1966, with a mildly successful song written by Laura, "Meidän laulumme". From then on, they released many singles, a few covers of popular English language such as "Windmills of your mind", "Cinderella Rockefella", "Lament of the Cherokee Reservation", and "Come September" to name a few. They were chosen to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1969 in Spain with the song Kuin silloin ennen (Like in Those Times) where They placed 12th in the voting results.
After their Eurovision stint, they continued to release music mainly in Finland. As of the present, Jarkko is a successful photographer, and Laura is still performing on stage. She released an album in 2004, called "Tyttö kaupungista" (Translates roughly in english as: "City girl")
