Jarhead is an eternally frustrated cyborg whose plans to eliminate mankind usually result in a humorous inversion of intentions that result in the highlighting of his lack of insight into the human condition and his somewhat limited intelligence. This is compounded by his ability to recognize these limitations is in itself limited.

Currently there are 33 Jarhead comics[1]. Initially he appeared to hover within each panel[2] until issue #5 when he appeared without explanation with 5 cylindrical objects that descend beyond the boundaries of the panel. He regularly appears on the popular comic creation website toonlet.com[3] and usually employs a three panel format. On only one occasion have more been employed[4]. Usually Jarhead comments upon social issues or the current Internet Meme that are popular within the current cultural climate. His most recent comic references Wikipedia.

Jarhead's origins have never been explained within the strip. Jarhead is named for his appearance, his head is literally a brain in a jar mounted upon the body of a robot for with articulated arms. Jarhead always talks in the third person. He is compiled from individual components designed and drawn by Ben Hard[5][6]. The creator and writer of the strips is Horatio Pants.
