Jarabacoa

Jarabacoa is a municipality of La Vega province in the Dominican Republic.
As of the 2002 census the municipality had 56,931 inhabitants, 27.370 living in its seat, the city of Jarabacoa, and 29,561 in its rural districts.[1]
Jarabacoa is known for its steady 70F to 90F degree temperature all year round. Visitors have baptized Jarabacoa as "The City of Everlasting Spring." Jarabacoa sits about 600 m above sea level. One of the main touristic attractions is the mountains and natural beauty of the area. Jarabacoa has two large rivers, the Jimenoa and the Yaque del Norte, that merge in the Confluencia, continuing on as the Yaque del Norte, one of the largest rivers in the country. Jarabacoa's Carnaval in February is also one of the most famous in the country.
