[edit] Re:Difference between A-class and GA-class?
Well, my initial assumption about the A-Class was that it was a rating higher than GA. Kinda like a half-way point between GA and FA. What I've come to find out is that it is still very similar to the Stub, Start, and B-Class, just with higher standards. It is assigned by specific WikiProjects, unlike the GA and FA which go through a Wikipedia wide standardized process. So even though they're all ratings, it kinda functions like two separate rating scales. What it equates out to is that the A-Class rating does not first require a GA-Class rating and the GA-Class rating does not first require an A-Class rating. Hope I explained it well enough. [edit] Re: Edits to Master of Magic
I added them because [[WP:AWW|weasel words}} that don't indicate that anyone in particular said something detract the extent to which the tone sounds reliable. I reviewed the {{who}}'s and the first one was probably not necessary because it indicated a very specific group of people and the article references just who those people were later. It was probably acceptable in keeping with summary style to not specify there. The second {{who}} was tagged on a sentence with passive voice and does not indicate who declared that to be the case. Feel free to remove it if you disagree, but "it has been compared" is dodging the fact that such a comparison is opinion and I would submit that it's as weasely as sentence structures get. i kan reed 02:17, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Comments on GA review
Just wanted to let you know that I disagreed with your GA review for Attack at Ament's Cabin. I am not going to contest your review but I have outlined my concerns on the talk page for your own reference, if you care. Thanks for taking the time to review the article and please view my comments how they are meant, as an attempt to outline my concerns for your own reference. Do with them as you please. If you are an active reviewer perhaps you can keep them in mind in the future. IvoShandor (talk) 08:03, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
- As I said I am not that concerned about it. To be honest, given the discrepancy, I felt it was better to exclude the detail, as it is highly likely that it isn't even true. (Unfortunately I was inactive when you reviewed the article or we could have fleshed this out then). That's the problem with trying to cover this war, the source material is often so convoluted its accuracy comes into question. Alot of what was written is based on eyewitness, or secondary witness accounts. It's like playing historical sleuth. The main issue I see, is that it is impossible to know if there is an actual discrepancy without violating WP:OR, at least in this case. One source claims bayonets made them run, another claims contact of muskets with chest made them run, because it had a bayonet? Hard to say, but I am certain that I cannot say. IvoShandor (talk) 12:43, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
- Anyway, I hope I wasn't to harsh, as I am trying to be the newer, nicer IvoShandor. The one who doesn't want to bring about the end of the world.IvoShandor (talk) 12:45, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] FreeSpace 2
Hi, the subspace node map explains how things developed in the game. I would encourage you to discuss this before removing it again. -- Cat chi? 16:21, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, first of all, the average reader has no need to know how the node map of the game is structured and which link among that map was severed since it is going way beyond detail. That is going into the territory of gamecruft/gameguide. The player is only limited to a few systems in the game and has no freedom on travelling to the other systems as well, hence increasing the irrelevance of the map. Secondly, the map is fan-created, and is inappropriate in Wikipedia's policy of not allowing original research. Jappalang (talk) 22:02, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi Jappalang, you have been invited to attend the SGpedians' meetup on 29 December 2007. We are planning to make this a full day event, but you may join/leave at anytime you wish. If you can or cannot make it, please leave your name here. It will be good to have you at the meetup. Terence (talk) 06:45, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] re:Space Hulk and COI
I consider it a COI only in its most conservative and vague sense. As a general rule, I don't like to be in contact or know the reviewer of the articles I consider passing. It feels slightly too personal, and I suppose can be considered personal preference more than COI.--CM (talk) 21:33, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Hi, regarding Space Hulk
I see you put an enormous effort in improving this article, and I really appreciate it. Actually, I was thinking about this game recently. I never played it, but I've seen it in the TV over DECADE ago, and I was really fond of what I saw. This game is however really difficult to obtain. If you don't mind, and if you use any of IM, like AIM or MSN, could you leave me your screen name? I'd like to talk with you about Space Hulk. Peace.

Thanks for reviewing the article. I am on holiday this week and may not be able to spend much time online. If I don't address your issues this week, I'll definitely be able to do so after. Hong Qi Gong (Talk - Contribs) 06:10, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Star Wars: X-Wing
I posted a question regarding lists to Village Pump. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a response. I'll check my local library for manuals of style (I'm kind of curious, actually) and get back to you. SharkD (talk) 07:58, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tomonobu Itagaki
Just a note to say thatI haven't forgotten your request for the Tomonobu Itagaki interview from Edge. I will do it for you but I'm a little tight for time at the moment, but I will get around to it for you in the next week or two. Was their anything specific you were after in the review? - X201 (talk) 12:02, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
- It's bad news I'm afraid. I've read the whole interview and there is no mention of any personal information about him. Both the interviewer and Itagaki kept the interview on strictly business terms. It almost seemed like the interviewer had been told to only ask questions about DOAX and Ninja Gaiden because those were the only questions that would be answered by Itagaki. As for his work ethics there was very little information and nothing that isn't already in the article as it stands. The interview would be better described as an interview about DOAX & NG rather than an interview with Itagaki.
- If you ever need any information about the development of the games then I'll send you some quotes from him but as far as finding out something about Itagaki himself the interview won't be of any use to you. Sorry. - X201 (talk) 11:29, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've scanned it and put it on Flickr If you could download them to your machine (click the "all sizes" icon at the top left of each image and it will let you download the large version of them) and let me know when you've done it so that I can remove them in case Flickr is funny with me over them being magazine scans. - X201 (talk) 14:27, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey Jappalang. Thanks for the comments. I think you said this, but I'm just making sure. Should I label the authorship of the IGN guide as "IGN staff", or name all three? Thanks. Ashnard Talk Contribs 23:06, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- Right, I've fixed most of them, with the IGN news articles been labeled as "IGN staff". For things like Gamespot and Gamespy, shall I assume this, and put "Gamespot staff"? Ashnard Talk Contribs 23:33, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Giants: Citizen Kabuto FAC
Giants: Citizen Kabuto has been nominated for Featured Article status. Please drop by and comment when you can, thanks! FightingStreet (talk) 22:12, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
I notice that the editor who nominated this article hasn't contributed to it. There is precedent for withdrawing a nomination if the main contributors to the article do not feel it is ready for FAC yet. Of course, if you think it's ready and you have the time to address concerns raised, that would be ideal; just wanted to let you know that withdrawal is an option if you have any concerns about FAC at this time. Thanks. Maralia (talk) 02:54, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] On Juni's Voice Actor...
Yeah, it's been a while. I no longer edit as frequently as I used to. I think I've found something better and have made the necessary amendment. Feel free to revert if you think it's not as notable. -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 09:20, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- Oh no, thank you. You're the one who came into Wikipedia, sweeping the dust off these great games and bringing them from (I believe) Start- or B-class to GA-class. What you've done for the articles of these games well overshadows most of my contributions. -- Altiris Helios Exeunt 09:38, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Adding to your "How to write a good video game article"
Thank you; you read my mind. I was thinking that was a missing piece to the puzzle. But images aren't my strong suit, and wasn't sure what to write. Thank you again and please feel free to add on to or copy edit the rest of guide. (Guyinblack25 talk 03:54, 1 April 2008 (UTC))
[edit] Re: Peer Review
Well, since I just got roped into this and I have my reputation to maintain ;) I've got stuff to do tonight, but I'll be sure to throw a mess of comments and harsh criticism your way tomorrow. Cheers, Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 00:51, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- actually, I lied, I don't have time to post comments right now. I've printed out the article (12 pages with all the refs!) and will get back to you tomorrow. Good day, Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 00:08, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

I'll take a look at Ninja Gaiden at some stage (long articles...eek!), but if you have the time, could you possibly take a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Peer review/Age of Empires at some stage? Cheers, dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 03:13, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Ninja Gaiden FAC
I would love to help, but unfortunately I am not really that good at copy-editing. I am already working on several other articles at the moment. I would suggest you use Wikipedia:WikiProject League of Copyeditors/Members and Wikipedia:Peer_review/volunteers#General_copyediting to find copy-editors to help you. Good luck. — Wackymacs (talk) 13:42, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
- The easiest thing for you to do would be to contact Wikipedians directly (instead of submitting to LoC) - there are plenty of copy-editors on Wikipedia, so it isn't too hard to go around asking for some help. User:Gusworld might be able to help you. — Wackymacs (talk) 12:37, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re Ninja Gaiden (2004 video game)
Hi Jappalang. I'd be happy to give you a hand with the article, although I'm tied up with another copyedit at the moment. If you don't mind waiting a week or so, I can help out then. I'd also recommend checking out this page here, which is a new wikiproject some of us have set up specifically dedicated to helping editors get articles ready for FA. You can post your article to the "Proposed missions" section, the talk page, or (possibly more likely to get results at the moment) contact editors directly on their talk pages. Hope this helps! EyeSerenetalk 09:04, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Heh, I haven't forgotten - the copyedit I'm currently doing seems to have stalled, so I'll head in your direction next (probably tomorrow). Sorry for the delay ;) EyeSerenetalk 23:10, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

- OK, I think I've done about all I can. I'd recommend a proofread from a fresh pair of eyes, and I think there may be a small issue with repetition of information re Sigma and Black that may get flagged at FAC, but hopefully we're in fairly good shape ;) In any case, if you want to let me know when you've nominated, I'll watchlist the FAC so I can try to help out dealing with reviewer comments if that would be useful. All the best, and it's been a pleasure working with you. EyeSerenetalk 16:37, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you!
That's very kind of you, and much appreciated! :D EyeSerenetalk 11:08, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
