[edit] Image

See if you like Image:Tetsudo.jpg in this stub. If not, please feel free to revert to the previous image.

Clearly, the old one (text only) was more readable. However, readability is not the most important aspect, since the accompanying text provides the necessary words. This one adds a photo of a Shinkansen train, which is an icon of Japanese rail transportation.

Hmmm. Somehow I feel that the picture and red characters make it more, say, gaudy that it should be. A lot of other sub templates are relatively conservative in image usage. Perhaps the JR Logo might work for the image. Though I'm not sure about copyright, I think it might look more, uh, subtle? 70.176.93.225 04:27, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

If you don't like it, you can say so! JR is likewise an icon of Japanese rail transportation, but of course there are the "big 15" which aren't JR... . Meanwhile, feel free to revert if you prefer the original. Fg2 06:53, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
