Talk:Japanese Invasion of Malaya
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It was not Operation Matador (a pre-emptive strike into Siam) that Brooke-Popham had to set in motion (and dithered about) but Operation Krohcol and part of the delay was having to rearrange troops for Krohcol not Matador! The only real chance they had of damaging the invasion. Attacking the major landing forces in Siam before they could cross into northern Malaya, Matador, if successful, made Krohcol unnecessary.
