I have removed the notability tag as the subject speaks for itself - it can be seen from the citations, and from simply living in Japan, taking courses on modern Japanese culture & society, or reading articles devoted to the subject, that this is a very real phenomenon, discussed in numerous media, and relevant and important to modern-day Japanese society. I would also like to note that I had nothing to do with the creation of this article, and am thus not arguing to protect my own work, but acting as an outsider, a third party who judges this well-written and well cited article to have merit.
