The Fujisan (Japanese:富士山).

The Fujisan (Japanese:富士山), was a steam frigate of the Bakufu Navy. She was built in New York, USA, in 1864, and was acquired by the Bakufu on April 28th, 1868. She was equipped with side wheels for propulsion, and a gun upfront, a design which was already obsolescent at that time.

She was one of the four ships remitted by Enomoto Takeaki to the Imperial forces, before he fled to Hokkaidō, suggesting that her performance was not so impressive. After the Meiji restoration, she was incorporated in the newly formed Imperial Japanese Navy in July 1869. She became a 4th class warship (四等艦)on November 15th, 1871, and a third-class warship on November 20th, 1874. She was thereafter only used as a training ship, until her decommission on May 10th, 1889. She was sold for scrap in 1896.
