Japan Open Golf Championship

The Japan Open Golf Championship (日本オープンゴルフ選手権競技 Nihon ōpun gorufu senshu kenkyōgi?) is Japan's national open golf championship. As of 2007 it is one of the two richest tournaments on the Japan Golf Tour, with a prize fund of ¥200 million. It is also the tour's designated "Premier event" for the purposes of the Official World Golf Rankings, with a minimum winner's points allocation of 32 points.

  • 1 On the Japan Open home page the name of the winner is Yoshiro Hayashi in English, but Yoshimasa Fujii in Japanese.
