[edit] Singapore Changi destination table
You have to ask the permission of the "owner" of that article first. I will immediately be reverted back by him for sure. Lets keep KLIA table free from any ownership and follow strictly from the wikiproject concensus made. You dont change rule because you personally feel so. the destination list is made simple so that it is easier to edit as the list is very dynamic. --Zack2007 (talk) 14:52, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Huaiwei, do you support or object the new format?Jannisri (talk) 15:19, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
- See below. I introduced the table format more as a form of experiment back then. I hadent seen much problems with it thus far, so you are free to copy it if you wish. Perhaps, with these few examples, the royalty up in the ivory tower can then see some merit in this new format for wider consideration.--Huaiwei (talk) 15:24, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
Janisri, please do visit Kuching International Airport. I can't reach an agreement for a standard simple destination table. Because of that, ppl can freely make a destination table according to their style. Soon, everyone will have their own styles. I can't even say no for the table, as I do not have the justification for a standard table. For regular wikipedia reader, this would be really confusing. what do u think of the table? --Zack2007 (talk) 14:21, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

- Jannisri, I am not making nonsense, Jpatokal in WP:Airport talk did make some sense, that sometimes there is a need to see how it is marketed to be. Since the Indonesia AirAsia, Thai and AirAsia X are marketed under one brand name, which is AirAsia it should be put in a group. He raised that if someone ask you, does AirAsia flies to Pekanbaru? would you say no, Airasia doesnt? or would you say, "yes, but with Indonesia airasia". This is what I mean. But I guess everyone is entitled to everyone's points, and I agree with him. --Zack2007 (talk) 08:04, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] RE:Singapore Changi Airport
With regards to your question, I did notice by accident that the table was also introduced in the KLIA article. In fact, I notice quite a number of other tables which looked suspiciously similar, but I would just like to emphasise that there is nothing wrong with doing this, and I fully encourage that. You certainly do not need to seek permission to replicate works by others anywhere in this website. I myself have frequently copied good ideas from other articles too, and that is often the best way to spread the good work around for the overall good. As for this thing about the WikiProject, I personally have taken a view that I need not be overly bound down by self-imposed bureaucracy and redtape, prefering instead to be bold and experiement with new ideas freely and without self-censorship. You are not obliged to follow the "renegade" path, nor are you required to subsribe to the mindset of the "conformist" folks. Its your choice, just as the folks in Kedah did a few days ago! :D--Huaiwei (talk) 15:21, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:Air China GA review
Could you please give some reasons/specific examples as to why/how it doesn't meet the GA criteria? And please sign your review. Thanks, dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 06:50, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not interested in the article, but when doing a GA review you need to add this sort of commentary, with examples, to the review on the talk page. dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 22:11, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] EWR KUL
Leave EWR as "Newark". The airport is located in Newark, New Jersey (not in New York City). There is a discussion on this topic at WP:AIRPORTS amd most users agree to leave it as Newark. Thanks!! Audude08 (talk) 03:06, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Singapore Airlines
About the comment you made with regards to the Singapore Airlines' "Sarong Kebaya" being similar to that of Malaysian Airlines, please proceed to the page of Singapore Girl and read more about it before drawing that conclusion. Please pay particular attention to the floral patterns and collar cuts of both airlines and you might notice that there is much difference, after all. Thank you for reading and cheers. -- Dave1185 (talk) 11:34, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Image:MHcabin.jpg
Your recent upload of this image is deemed more as a posed shot for a commercial ad than that of a self-work, and if so, please do not mark it as your own work. This image is now deemed as an image of blatant copyvio and it will be soon earmarked for removal. Thank you for reading and cheers. -- Dave1185 (talk) 12:24, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Look here! STOP using sock puppetry to twist and turn the words around in this image file, it is a clear violation of Wikipedia's stand on copyright infringement! And it will be slated for speedy deletion upon the administrator inspection. You do not copy an image from a commercial ad then claim it as your own while stating that you have permission from the owner of that ad to do so (IF you indeed have it, please reproduce it in an official email to a Wiki administrator to verify it) and thus by doing so would tantamount to a blatant, clear and direct copyright violation which Wikipedia won't stand for. -- Dave1185 (talk) 13:10, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
-
- Also, this is to inform you that I have deleted the image from the page of Malaysia Airlines until it can be verified. You, however, are warned against repasting it until an administrator can verify the image in question. Thank you for reading and cheers. -- Dave1185 (talk) 13:13, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Admin incident noticeboards
I have mentioned you here. Letting you know to give you a chance to argue against it. -- Dave1185 (talk) 07:40, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
- Just so you'd know, I'm not against you in person but what you did today tantamount to sock puppetry in a certain sense and you could have been block from editing because of that, had I proceed to press the charges. However, I gave you a chance. Please, in future, when someone tells you that an article or image might be a copyright violation, LISTEN to them. Stop using it until it can be verified. No one gets hurt more than wikipedia when users like us start to upload images that has copyright issues attached, most images are copyrighted (and in America, that copyright last a long long time) unless it is from your own work, hence you can release images for use provided that you really are the owner to it and not a certain rich billionaire, or multi-national corporation or government or its related departments. However, the images would still come under the scrutiny from editors such as myself to avoid the legal hassle of having to explain things when the owners come knocking at our door. The whole purpose of wikipedia is to educate, not having to repetitiously explain about certain articles or images with regards to copyright issues should that issue arise. Be bold in your editing but please, no copy and paste stuffs here, ok? Take your time to read through and learn about what the welcoming committee has prepared for you on the welcome page. Thank you for reading and cheers. -- Dave1185 (talk) 14:47, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
