[edit] DJ JanderVK

Hello. DJ JanderVK has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this person might not be notable enough for an article. Please review Wikipedia:Notability (people) for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" template, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod template, the article will not be deleted, but if an editor is still not satisfied that it meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.} NickelShoe (Talk) 21:18, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Slip bandiflaijeri 2 web.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Slip bandiflaijeri 2 web.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok 16:05, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Blood (band)

I'm done with the Blood article, but it could use a good copy edit. I tried to make it more NPOV, and format it to look more like a Wiki page. Unfortunately the interview I referenced didn't have a lot of good info in it - but we have one reliable resourse now. Denaar 21:57, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Delaware State University

I hope that you, as the editor who placed the "current event" template, will remove it in a timely manner after the "current event" status fades. The template is perfectly within Wikipedia policy, although my personal opinion is that they should be banned because most people who are eager to place the template never bother to remove it. The result is a very distracting, unsightly template at the top of the page for months after the event is no longer current. I'm not singling you out, and I trust your good faith intentions. I have placed this message on a number of talk pages. Thank you. Ward3001 15:06, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ObtainedEnslavementDark edit.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:ObtainedEnslavementDark edit.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 20:55, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Lee M. Hollander

A tag has been placed on Lee M. Hollander requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Just because they are a published author does not mean they meet wikipedias notability requirements. Your article did not provide enough information to substantiate the individuals importance. Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:01, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
I can't delete articles, so needless to say, I didn't delete it. However, it did not provide any information that indicated the subject's importance; sorry. Master of Puppets Care to share? 19:04, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sleepy Hollow (band)

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Sleepy Hollow (band), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:MelodyCruise.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:MelodyCruise.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 15:46, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
