Jann Scott, born Janurary 27 1946, lives in Boulder Colorado, started Jann Scott Live and Jann Scott Tonite back in 1989 on cable TV here in Colorado. In the 70’s, he worked for the International Times in London. In the 80’s, he worked in talk radio in Denver. Jann hosts Jann Scott Live, Travel Channel 1, Food Channel 1, Denver Restaurant Shows, Auto Channel 1 and Jann Scott Tonite. He migrated all of his shows to www.jannscott.com in 2000 and then started Boulder Channel 1 and The World Channel 1 networks in 2005. He writes most of the news and story boards. He has won many awards and has been written up in local and national papers and magazines. Goggle him and you’ll find a litany of madness! He has lived in Boulder since 1974, moved here as a hippie and is now a conservative pillar of the community…what the hell happened to him?! He drives a Ford Escape Hybrid and is currently obsessed with Aaron’s cat, Franklin (that’s a problem) He founded www.Theworldchannel1.com an internet TV site which emulates cable tv.
Scott produces (and even hosts a few) television programs that are geared toward Boulder and beyond. The programs cover a plethora of topics from travel and music to current events, local politics and issues of drug and alcohol abuse.
His skits, parodies, newscasts and everything in between can be viewed on the Boulder Channel 1 Web site, a combination of Jann Scott productions and public access Webcasting, or on Boulder TV, also known as BTV-54 - a Boulder public access cable station. The shows recently got picked up by Comcast Channel 5, Scott said, to air all over the state. In addition, Scott said some giant media companies have been looking into buying Boulder Channel 1 to make it the first ever Internet TV network.
Scott said he wasn't always as ridiculous. When he first started Jann Scott Live on public access TV in Boulder in 1987, he said he was more serious. When students, who he says are some of his No. 1 fans, kept calling into the show making outrageous comments, he wanted to join in on the fun.
Jann Scott was born in connecticut. In 1968 he published country Senses magazine which had a world wide distribution of 20,000. Jann attended Windham college in Putney Vermont in the 1960's He has lived in Boulder Colorado since 1974. In 1975 he wrote "The Book of boulder Bar and Restaurnant Hopping". 1976 he published Rocky Mountain Musical Express. In the late 1970's he founded The Boulder Times. From 1987 to 1993 he was a talk radio host on a variety of denver radio stations. In 1990 he hosted Addiction Free Radio on 137 radio stainons on the Sun Radio Network. He conducted 100's of interviews with recovery do gooders around America. Jann live out his life in the public eye on television and can be seen currently on The world channel 1 network. In his private life he does voluteer work anonymously, is a birder, chases squirels.
