[edit] Notability

Maslin is a notable film critic and writer. Hardly an unknown. Not every film critic has to be Roger Ebert to be listed on Wikipedia. JackO'Lantern 04:11, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

She was with the Times for decades (actually she quit in 1999). Definitely not a speedy deletion candidate. Rhobite 04:42, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unsourced statements/Clean up

Not permitted in Wikipedia. Done some clean up and deleted unsourced material. NNDB cannot be used as a source in the article. See WP:BLP#Sources and WP:V#Sources, along with WP:EL. I added section for "Notes" in anticipation of better documentation with more reliable and verifiable sources; fixed the previous EL and Refs sections; moved some previously in EL sec. to Refs. sec.; gave fuller citations; etc. All I have time for (more than I had time for, actually. Came across this article via link in another article that I was editing. --NYScholar (talk) 09:15, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
