Comments from WikiProject The Beatles:

  • As with Astrid Kirchherr. This needs a photo and possibly some more information (there is information about Jane that is available on her IMDB entry that is not in the article). Also, the Beatles-related song 'A World Without Love' is redlinked, as you can see.--Mal (8 March 2006)

[edit] Cynthia Lennon's book

In her second book about John Lennon (not 'A Twist of Lennon') Cynthia Lennon claims that Jane left Paul McCartney after she (Jane) caught him with another woman when she was returning home earlier than planned from a movie setting. All other sources I know of give renditions more favourable of Paul. Is this being discussed nowhere just because nobody cares about Cynthia's book? I've read her recent book, actually. I've not discussed the matter (exactly why Paul and Jane split up) because I don't see that it's encyclopedic nor does it interest me. I can't speak for others on the matter. --kingboyk 01:26, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

The quote about her finding him havin' it away is from Barry Miles' book, which was with McCartney. He admitted that he did the dirty deed.--andreasegde (talk) 10:43, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Jane Asher's father taught George Martin the oboe

I recall this minor coincidence from the Hunter Davis Beatles biography; is it worth mentioning in the article?

Oh yes... a ref is also in Macca's article. --andreasegde (talk) 18:12, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, this is wrong. It was Jane Asher's mother who taught George Martin the oboe - see Margaret Eliot. Ian Cairns (talk) 11:59, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

I apologise - that's right.--andreasegde (talk) 18:55, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

That’s probably the reason why George was so bloody awful at playing it.--Patthedog (talk) 20:01, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] External links

Could you add this webbie: http://www.sixties-jane.piczo.com ? There are lots of pics of the 1960s acting career of Jane, also articles and other kind of info. And links to other great Jane Asher webs that you could add too :) Also there is this yahoo group for Jane fans, with lots of pics (and some very very rare!): http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ladyjane

They are better than the last link of nudity! >:(

[edit] Photo

We need to get a photo-she is just beautiful! Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 00:38, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

You can put a fair-use one in anytime, just don't put it in the infobox, as it will be deleted - put it down in the article.--andreasegde (talk) 10:34, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

I have put the famous one in, but lower in the article so it will not get deleted.--andreasegde (talk) 10:37, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Famous last words; the photo polizei are on the warpath... :)--andreasegde (talk) 17:11, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
