[edit] Notability

This article should not be deleted because the subject has been quoted as an authority on seventh-day versus first-day Sabbath observance and the advisability of blue laws.

There needs to be sources to back it up. ... discospinster talk 16:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Marcussen is mentioned on Historic Adventism. I do not believe he is notable enough for his own article, at least by the present sources supplied. Only one of the sources mentions him in any detail. I suggest this article be replaced by a redirect to to the historic article, and perhaps a line or two could be written about him there. Colin MacLaurin (talk) 01:55, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
I just searched Google Books, and found only one good reference to Marcussen (one book had a paragraph on him), and added it. Some more sources were added since I wrote my above comment. It may marginally scrape in to being notable, and because of the extra sources I take back my comment above. Could also try the SDAPI. It is important that the information come from reliable third-party sources, whereas most of it is currently unsourced. Colin MacLaurin (talk) 08:12, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Hi User:Jackcrew, SDAPI stands for the Seventh-day Adventist Periodical Index. It is an index of many Adventist magazines, and extremely useful. Online here. I can't access it from this computer, so can't do the search myself. Colin MacLaurin (talk) 03:28, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
