Janu (clan)

Janu is gotra of Jats found in Distt Bikaner, Jaipur, Churu, Jhunjhunu districts in Rajasthan, India. Apart from their primary occupation as farmers, many of them actively serve in the Indian armed forces. The clan also has relatively high proportions of literacy. This has recently lead to a trend of young clan members moving to cities and taking up other modern jobs.
