Jannero Pargo (born October 22, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American professional basketball player with the New Orleans Hornets.[1] He has also played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors and the Chicago Bulls. He played collegiately for the University of Arkansas after transferring from Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kansas.
When Pargo first entered the NBA as a free agent with the Los Angeles Lakers, his first name was spelled with a single N —"Janero". He was released by the Lakers during the 2003-2004 season and, when he was signed by the Toronto Raptors, his name had gained the extra N that is now reflected in his name.
Pargo is co-represented by Chicago-based agents Michael Naiditch and Mark Bartelstein.
Pargo is the brother of current Gonzaga University junior guard, Jeremy Pargo.
