Jannel Rap is a folk singer and songwriter from Lincoln, Nebraska.
Rap attended Lincoln Northeast High School where a picture of her is displayed on the wall of honored alumni.
Rap has released five albums. The first album, Clementine Street, was recorded in the living room of a house in 1994. She recorded her first studio album, So Beyond Clementine Street, the following year. In 1999, she released Sea Of Red. Rap has performed with artists such as Nickel Creek, Loudon Wainwright III, Sophie B. Hawkins and John Waite[1].
Rap's sister, Gina Bos disappeared from Lincoln in 2000 and Rap has been an advocate for missing persons ever since. She has founded GINA and Warriors for the Missing, groups that are intended to help people whose family members are missing.
