Janja (Cyrillic: Јања) is a village in the Bijeljina municipality in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Janja is located in Podrinje it is also the biggest village in Bijeljina, it famous for the River Janja and Drina many people from the town janja who now live in different countries come to Janja at summer go to restaurants Music concerts and Festivals. its be attraction in Municipality. Janja is the only Bosniak community in the Municipality.

Janja has its own elementary school, OŠ "Meša Selimović" which is located on Karadjordjeva street. MZ Janja is located on Kosovska street. The Janja Fire Brigade is located on Zmaj Jovina street. [1]

Janja is a smal town near Bijeljina (north-east Bosnia) and is famous with Rivers Drina and a litle River Janja. Is also famous as a bigest ex village in Yugoslavia and Bosnia and Hercegovina.

Located in the center of Janja is the Atik Mosque (dzamija). Janja has two mosques which have been rebuilt after the war. There are a large number of people from Janja who live in other countries such as Austria. Near the Atik mosque is the caffe 'bosna' where lots of bosnian singers attend.

Much of citizens are Bosniaks (muslems) who ara removed from her town Janja during the last agression from Serbia and Serbs. Most of refuggies turned between 2001 and 2006. Both mosques are buildet on the same pleces who they were destructed on 21 of april 1993.
