Janeen Brady

Janeen Brady (born 1934) is a Mormon composer/lyricist and co-founder of Brite Music, Inc. One of her songs was included in the 1989 Children's Songbook of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).
Her name at birth was Janeen Jacobs. She attended Brigham Young University where she met her husband, Ted Brady. Janeen and Ted Brady founded Brite Music, Inc. in 1978. Brady was the co-author of the Brite Music published Standing Tall books along with Grant Wilson and Diane Woolley.[1] She has also written some children's books on her own such as My Body Machine ISBN=0944803733[2]
Ted and Janeen have nine children.[3]
In 1983, she was invited to the White House by U.S. President Ronald Reagan and Mrs. Reagan for a performance of her song, "The Great American Family".[4]
According to the Brite Music, Inc. website "Janeen Brady and Brite Music became known for uplifting, enriching songs that taught positive characteristics". [5]
Brady's song "I Lived in Heaven" is in the 1989 Children's Songbook of the LDS Church. Another one of her widely sung songs is "When I Grow Up I Want to Be A Mother".[6]
