Jane Johnson (writer)

Jane Johnson is an English novelist who has written under various pseudonyms, such as Jude Fisher and Gabriel King.
From 1984 to 1992 she was the editor responsible for the J. R. R. Tolkien list at George Allen & Unwin Publishers, then Unwin Hyman, then HarperCollins, where she is also Publishing Director for the Voyager fantasy and science fiction list. Her authors there include Clive Barker, David Eddings, Raymond E. Feist, Robin Hobb, Dean Koontz, and George R. R. Martin.
As Jude Fisher she worked with cast and crew to create the Visual Companions to Peter Jackson's movie trilogy of The Lord of the Rings. Her latest novel, Crossed Bones, is her first adult mainstream novel, inspired by the abduction of a family member in 1625 from a Cornish church by Barbary pirates.
