Jane Green (Nickname: "Mummy") (born May 31, 1968) is an English author of romantic novels.
Born in London, England, she now lives in Connecticut with her four children under the age of 5 - including a set of twins - and dog Palmer. She attended the University of Wales, Aberystwyth from 1987-88, although she left without completing her degree and worked as a journalist throughout her twenties. At the age of 27 she was inspired to write a book about a woman being single in the city. This paid off and she published her first book, Straight Talking three months later.
Swapping Lives, formerly Life Swap, is gearing up for launch in the US in June, and starting to do some press is keeping her very busy along with writing her new book.
Things that Jane Green likes, and appear often in her books, include: beige or neutral-coloured clothes, Marks & Spencer food, scrunchies, leggings, Gospel Oak, The Ivy restaurant, posh Hampstead types, boys with dimples, obsessive women.
