Jane Fennell
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jane Fennell was an Australian TV presenter prior to a car accident that ended her career and caused her serious facial injuries. She became famous via the children's television program Mr. Squiggle and Friends (1959) as Miss Jane. She is the daughter of Australian actor Willie Fennell (Willie Fennell at IMDB) and grew up in Sydney, Australia. After the car accident, she became close to Australian actor John Ewart, who was a close friend of her father, and whom she had known since she was 15. Jane and John became engaged in 1992 but postponed the wedding due to the death of Jane's father. Two years later, they married in a bedside ceremony as John lay dying from aesophagus cancer. Tragically, Jane became a widow just nine hours after the wedding.
