Jane D. Robbins

Jane D. Robbins (June 26, 1919—) served on the Compton City Council from 1976 until 1995.

Born Jane Dickison on June 26, 1919, she is the daughter of C. A. Dickison, who in 1924 became Compton's first mayor.

She met her future husband, Compton Police Officer Robert Robbins on a blind date. They married just three days later. The union produced two daughters.

In 1976, Robbins joined the Compton City Council and served until 1995.
