Jan Mayen Plate

The Jan Mayen Plate is a small oceanic tectonic plate east of Iceland. The island Jan Mayen is at its northern end, and the plate stretches 500 km soutwards.
It is proposed that the microcontinent has rifted off the North American Plate in late oligocene.
