Jan Charouz

Jan Charouz (b. 1987) is a Czech racing driver. Mostly known for winning 2006 F3000 International Masters championship.

After karting, he started his professional career in 2003 Formula BMW ADAC championship. He stayed at the series for 2004. Then moving to the Formula 3000 Italy series for 2005. He only did 6 races there but managed to finish the season in 11th.
He was also chosen to drive for the Czech A1 Grand Prix team in 2005-2006 season but only competed in two races. Then in 2006 he competed in F3000 International Masters championship, supporting the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC). He was racing for the Charouz racing team. With 2 wins and 8 podiums. He won the championship. In 2006 he also did some races for the Renault Mégane EuroCup.
In 2007 he competed in the Le Mans 24 hour race in a Lola-Judd and finished 8th place overall together with drivers Stefan Mücke and Alex Yoong.
Jan competed in the LMS in 2007 and his highlights were finishing 2nd in Valencia and 4th at the Nurburgring. The other 3 races he finished in a for him real and normal 30th, 25th and 37th position.
