Jan Černý-Nigranus

Jan Černý-Nigranus (* 1500 or 1510 in Kunvald; † February 5, 1565 in Mladá Boleslav), was Czech historian, preacher and bishop of the Jednota bratrská now called the Moravian Church.

In the year 1537 he was ordinated as bishop and worked in congregation of Jednota bratrská in Brandýs nad Labem. During persecution against followers of "Czech brothers" he escaped to Prague.
