[edit] Speedy deletion of Imprev
A tag has been placed on Imprev, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 02:27, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Thank you will do. Jamesoweng (talk) 02:31, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] re: imprev
Hi there, to answer your question, I tagged it for Speedy Deletion because the article didn't really explain why the subject was notable, it really just seemed to read like an advertisement for it. Articles about companies are fine, as long as that company meets certain criteria and is written objectively. Mister Senseless™ (Speak - Contributions) 02:36, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding Earth Class Mail
First, I'm not an administrator and have absolutely no power that you don't; I'm just familiar with the bureaucracy around here. I wasn't the one who deleted this article, but I did nominate it for deletion, because the article's content fulfilled point 11 of Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion:
Blatant advertising. Pages which exclusively promote some entity and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic. Note that simply having a company or product as its subject does not qualify an article for this criterion.
The main problem that page had is that it did not link to any neutral sources; everything it linked to was affiliated with Earth Class Mail. If you'd like to remake that page in line with Wikipedia's policies, I recommend reading How not to be a spammer, and wish you good luck.
For the record, if you can show me some other corporation articles that violate WP:CSD, the answer is yes, I would nominate them for deletion, also. Please don't take it personal that yours got deleted, many slip through the cracks. For instance, Earth Class Mail was around for months, I only found it because Imprev was also spam and I checked up on your contributions. TheMile (talk) 02:44, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
