[edit] Welcome

Hello there. Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like it here and stick around.

Before you start doing a lot of editing, you might want to take the Tutorial. It gives a lot of basic info you'll want to get you oriented on Wikipedia.

You can sign your name on talk pages by using three tildes (" ~~~ ") for your username and four (" ~~~~ ") for your username and a timestamp.

If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or add a question to the Help desk. You can also drop me a question on my User Talk:Petter Nordby.

Happy editing, Petter Nordby 23:58, 18 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WP:CIVIL and WP:NOR

Please read the linked rules above. Your recent post is insulting, and useless as well - you are attacking the person and not making helpful comments on the content. Ad hominems are strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. Please let me know if you have any questions, or if I can help in any way. KillerChihuahua?!? 19:45, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Human being (ontology)

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Human being (ontology), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. iridescenti (talk to me!) 23:33, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Little context in John Franklin Bobbitt

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on John Franklin Bobbitt, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because John Franklin Bobbitt is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting John Franklin Bobbitt, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 21:02, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
