[edit] blink-182 Pop Punk vs Punk Rock vote

As you have recently contributed to the blink-182 article you might be interested in casting your vote towards reaching a final consensus on the bands genre, Pop Punk or Punk Rock, votes can be cast here. cheers mate --Dan027 07:00, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cover versions of songs

I was wondering about this edit you made a while back. Can cover versions of songs have their own page? If not, I am looking for a reference. You see, User:Playboy rich keeps making these two articles: Under Pressure (My Chemical Romance) and Under Pressure (The Used) (which is actually really stupid since boths bands perform together in the same song). Anyway, I’m not sure if a precedent was set in this issue. I’ve already tried his used talk page, but he never responded. – Zntrip 05:38, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

There is a precedent set by articles such as Knockin' On Heaven's Door to put it all on one page. I personally think it's ridiculous to have an article for every single cover version of a song (see List of songs covered by Pearl Jam - having a page for each of those would be silly!). Some users do have issues with this (see the Hellraiser (song) page for a merge discussion currently taking place), but I would merge the articles.
Hope that helps. :) --Jamdav86 07:58, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Opinion Requested

Hi, I'd like to hear you opinion on the following debate. (Merging Alternate Versions of Characters)

[edit] Please stop

Please stop reverting my changes without good reason. I'm trying to have a discussion. Now, since you have ignored any discussion at the song talk and WP:SONGS, I am bringing it here. What's up with you that you have to have these changes in place? I'm not going to change it back again, because you seem to take great pleasure in baiting people, but you really need to listen. Thanks. – B.hotep u/t• 21:07, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] June 2007

Please do not delete content from articles on Wikipedia, as you did to Temptation (disambiguation). Your edits do not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use Wikipedia:Sandbox for test edits. Thank you. ≈ Maurauth (nemesis~☆) 15:48, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

As an aside to this, please stop using the minor edit check box for edits which are clearly not minor for reasons stated on that help page. It may not have been your intention to mark all and every edit as minor, but if I can help in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks. – B.hotep u/t• 22:38, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Kerrang_High_Voltage!-_A_Brief_History_Of_Rock.jpeg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Kerrang_High_Voltage!-_A_Brief_History_Of_Rock.jpeg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 17:35, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Kerrang High Voltage!- A Brief History Of Rock.jpeg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Kerrang High Voltage!- A Brief History Of Rock.jpeg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:10, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Used Infobox

I don't know what you were trying to add/change, but the user that was not allowing anyone to edit the infobox was given a temporary block. You should see if you like it as is, or if you think something should be changed. Thanks, Dark jedi requiem 19:01, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

That's cool. I was just making sure. A couple people tried to edit it, and it was always reverted. Hopefully now it will be more of a collaborative effort. Dark jedi requiem 19:08, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
There's a discussion at the infobox's talk page if you care to voice your views/opinions. Dark jedi requiem 06:57, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] used

ur the 1 vandalizing it jus like u did to the templete -- Xotheusedguyox 20:36, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

all changes i make are for the best, no1 else seems to have a problem with them - Xotheusedguyox 17:32, 9 July 2007 (UTC).

people like you are only reverting my edits becasue they dont like the way things look which they shoudlnt edit them, ive done some great things to wiki for my fav band and im gona continue to stop the vandalism becasue the used page should look amazing, but the templete is trashed right now

i cant get banned because i do too much for the used page, i update it all the time and make it as great as it could be, ive created a page for like 3 albums, i wrote their history and some future plans and revised the discovery page after all the images got deleted. Xotheusedguyox 19:56, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

but your the one putting them in the sorry state, u literally butchered the templete, its lacking info. Xotheusedguyox 20:04, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Used dispute

Please tone down the personal attacks. Many thanks, SlimVirgin (talk)(contribs) 23:24, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Would you consider allowing the members to be split into current and former, with their own subheading? It seems to mean a lot to Xo, and it might make the dispute go away. SlimVirgin (talk)(contribs) 11:46, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Discography

Hey, can you keep an eye on The Used discography page. Unlogged in editors keep changing things (like readding Pretty Handsome Awkward after it keeps getting deleted). There's an ip address who I'd swear is a certain editor that keeps changing it back to the way xo...xo had it. Dark jedi requiem 15:43, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] MCR

Good idea. Now if any more trolls come in they have no argument. Zazaban 19:24, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
