[edit] Toronto Uniform

Hey there. Forgive me for the delay, but work has been busy. I have, however, completed the Toronto Blue Jays new away unfirom (not that there was a great amount of work to be done). Hope it's good. -The Silent Wind of Doom (talk) 02:55, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] NYY logo

Hi JaMikePA, the copyright situation of the NYY logo was discussed here. Clearly, your edits were in good faith, and I would advise ignoring the above 'final warnings'. Addhoc (talk) 19:15, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Conduct

I'm not going to get into a meaningless debate about a minor point of content here, but from what I see User:Jeff G. corrected a citation AND gave a reliable source for his version. He also changed a userbox of yours- that he should not have done without reference to you. Maybe he was incorrect to put a vandal warning on your page, but that does not give you carte blanche to put a template on his page. No, he's not an administrator; I am, however, and now you've both hit my radar, to quote a famous decision in copyright law "the parties are advised to chill." Mattel, Inc. v. Thanks for uploading Image:Wilkes-barre scranton penguins 200x200.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. [edit] Lynx --> Ottawa Stadium

You recently renamed Lynx Stadium to Ottawa Stadium. What sources or evidence do you have that the facility's name had formally changed? While it may seem obvious that the name would change with the end of the Lynx team, a new stadium name may be speculation and not have been officially decided e.g. perhaps the owners (City of Ottawa government) were waiting for the establishment of the new team (Ottawa Rapids). [edit] Central Penn Panthers

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article Central Penn Panthers, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:PennPanthers.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:PennPanthers.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. [edit] ZOLO

Friend - I am a huge MLS and Philly fan - just look at the username (from well before the SoB founding). But the material you added about ZOLO is premature for Wikipedia. [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:LancasterNewspaper.PNG

Thank you for uploading Image:LancasterNewspaper.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 12:32, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Newark Bears (1926-1949)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Newark Bears (1926-1949), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://articles.gourt.com/en/Newark%20Bears. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 07:53, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Newark Bears (1926-1949)

A tag has been placed on Newark Bears (1926-1949) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. – PranksterTurtle (talk) 20:01, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Texian Army.PNG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Texian Army.PNG.

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:11, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
