James Daniel McCollum(born December 26, 1983)is a wikipedian that contributes by creating U.S. Military related articles. He enjoys performing searches on Wikipedia. He uses the Six Degrees Of Separation idea when searching and reading Wikipedia. He states that "every article is an average of six "clicks" away from each other."

McCollum was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Germantown High School and graduated in 2001. In the summer of 2001 he joined the Army and attended Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and Advance Individual Training at Fort Lee,Virgina as a 92A, Automated Logistical Specialist. His first assignment was 1st Squadron, 104th Cavalry as the Battalion S4 clerk. I deployed with 28th Infantry Division in May 2002 in support of Stabilization Force 12 (SFOR) in Bosnia- Herzegovina. Upon his return he reenlisted for the Regular Army. He was then assigned to the 2nd Corps Material Management Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina as a Material Management Specialist. He deployed with the Corps Distribution Center, 1st Corps Support Command in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in October 2004. He was promoted to the renk of Sergeant in May2006.After returning from deployment he was assigned to Alpha Company, 225th Brigade Support Battalion at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii as the Storage and Handling NCO and Squad Leader for the Supply Support Activity for 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team. He is currently deployed at an Liasion NCO for the 25th Infantry Division at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait with US ARMY CENTRAL. His military education includes Warrior Leader Course and the Standard Army Maintenance Course. His awards include the Army Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal with 1 oak leaf cluster; Armed Forces Expedentionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M device, Overseas Service Ribbon,NATOMedal and the Iraqi Campaign Medal.
