[edit] Best man is relevant why?

Dear Mr 82.42.182.200 please stop adding the useless and irrelevant "info" that is: His best man was Mr Simon Forshaw of West Derby.

If you honestly think it is:

  1. relevant
  2. correct

please state why (a reference would be useful, lol) aLii 19:40, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Height

Premier League.com states his height as 1.83m, got asource for the height at 1.86m? Which one is right?--Tiresais 21:02, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

I used BBC Sport's profiles for the heights of most of the Liverpool squad. It says 1.86 m. aLii 21:06, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Well [Liverpoolfc.tv (official team website) says he's 5'9 which would be about 179cm, so I'm stumped on this one lol...--Tiresais 11:53, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Exactly. That's why I use the BBC and not the official website, which to be frank, is rubbish. See Talk:Steven Gerrard#Gerrard's Height?. aLii 12:04, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Hehe ok then, might as well leave it at that until someone has a photo of him next to a tapemeasure :b --Tiresais 20:04, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tattoo

I've heard a rumour that "Carra" has a tattoo of Everton's crest (Liverpool's hated rivals) on his arm from when he was a kid. Apparently that's the reason he always wears long sleeves. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Quite a common rumour. This article used to have that piece of information but it was taken off. Needs a verifiable source.--Tiresais 11:33, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Carragher has addressed this in at least one interview and said that the rumour is false. (uefa.com) aLii 18:59, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Private Life

Is his accent a subject for this section? I think not. I propose it be removed or deleted if no on can come up with a justification. Barfbagger 19:30, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Weasel Words

"Many football experts consider Carragher to be one of the best natural "out-and-out" defenders in England" Short of a citation I think this this should be removed as Wikipedia:Avoid weasel words 82.5.219.55 16:56, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

He is considered by many, including famous Franco Baressi, to be the best defender in Europe but is probably the most underrated player at his position.

-- Almost all articles on Liverpool players begin 'probably one of the best ... in the world' (see Agger Alonso Carragher Torres Mascherano) despite our fairly mediocre recent league positions compared to 70's and 80's.

[edit] Public reaction

I added a paragraph about the public reaction to Jamies retirement. I don't think anyone will disagree with what i said.

[edit] Riiiiiight...

"Carragher is a well known defender around Europe and is regarded as one of the top defenders in the world, he's highly thought of in the footballing world John Terry said he was 'the best defender in Europe' on soccer AM"- I don't think so. Can we please have a citation of this or remove it? 24.251.147.57 23:42, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
