Rewrote this POV sentence:

"Robertson....by 1959 had publicly declared a defensist position with regard to those states which he saw as being degenerated and deformed workers' states, with a statement in support of the Chinese states suppression of the pro-theocratic reactionary revolt in Tibet aided by CIA."

Rewrote it as:

"In 1959, he published a statement in support of the Chinese suppression of the Tibetan resistance movement, and more generally took a defensist position with regard to existing Communist states, which he saw as being essentially workers' states, albeit degenerated and deformed ones."

Also corrected the atrocious spelling and grammar in that paragraph.

[edit] Notability?

I fail to see how this man is notable. Please explain --euyyn 18:09, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

He is notable because he is the defining personality of the Spartacist League which, while not notable in a conventional way, is a very difficult group to ignore for those of us who dare to claim Trotskyist positions that differ from their own. Commander deathguts 00:17, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
