Without backing evidence, the sentence that has been tacked on at the end ("Although he is married, throughout his political career, there have been frequent rumors that Thompson has been romantically involved with various young men.") strikes me as potentially libelous.12.47.123.121 22:09, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

I've edited the former paragraph concerning the "Republican In Name Only" criticism of former Governor Thompson. The earlier paragraph took the wrong approach to NPOV (namely, the point-counterpoint method of attempting to provide a neutral point of view). The result of that was a paragraph too out of proportion to how important the criticism is in a survey of Thompson's career. It is, after all, simply one instance of the RINO phenomenon and its general thrust is more appropriately handled in that article. Also, "foundation-less houses in hurricanes" isn't quite the bloodless prose one typically finds in an encyclopedia. This isn't pulp reference. Pop Secret 09:03, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
